David Egan

David Egan is an exercise scientist with particular expertise in helping people make positive changes to their lifestyle.

David was Exercise Physiologist at the National Coaching & Training Centre (NCTC) at the University of Limerick – the Irish elite athlete support unit – between 1999 and 2007. David provided sport science support to elite athletes, including several Irish Olympic & Paralympic teams. David was responsible for co-ordinating biochemical monitoring at the NCTC, as well as healthy lifestyle education for athletes. He was co-author of the Irish Strategy for Heat & Pollution in advance of the Athens Olympic Games in 2004.

David is a third-degree black-belt, with many years coaching experience in the martial-arts, kickboxing and fitness industry. David is also the founder of RedBranch, an Irish charity dedicated to helping children make healthy lifestyle choices, and Parents for Health – a charitable initiative that helps parents to promote health.

David’s personal mission is to help people lead healthier lives – he has helped dozens of people from all walks of life achieve their weight loss goals.
